Tasting notes | Semillon

This is a wonderful example of one of the best Semillons in Australia. The grapes are picked from vines planted in the late 1960s era, non-irrigated and have traditionally gone into a Tyrrell’s Vat 1 where it is blended with two other Tyrrell’s vinyards. When young the wine is crisp and light in colour with a nice balanced acid and floral nose. It will develop in the bottle to become a golden toasty Semillon for which Pokolbin is world famous. There are only about one hundred (100) cases of this wine produced each year.
